Registration is now open for the European Sustainable Tourism Mobility Forum on Monday 26 May 2025, organised by Breda University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions.

Join us for a productive day filled with engaging discussions and valuable networking on Accelerating the Transition to Sustainable Tourism Mobility.

Programme

The forum aims to strengthen knowledge, networks, and collaboration among policymakers, industry, society and researchers to drive the transition towards sustainable tourism mobility.

We are pleased to have Ben Lynam from Travel Foundation opening the event by sharing trends and developments in tourism followed by Camille Mutrelle from Transport & Environment on trends and developments in sustainable transport.  

Interactive sessions

By means of five different interactive sessions, the forum seeks to align tourism and transport agendas, address challenges, and prioritise concrete actions at European and national levels.
We will explore: 

  1. Rethinking tourism mobility consumption
  2. Investigating tourism and transport climate risks
  3. Exploring business model innovation
  4. Unlocking data exchange potential
  5. Developing pathways for a just and ethical transition

As our speakers we have among others: Netherlands Institute for Transport Policy Analysis (KiM), Better Places, Austria Tourism, NS Dutch Railways, University of Westminster, Corendon, KLM,  Axa Partners, SNP Natuurreizen, Belgian Federation of Bus and Coach (FBAA), International Road Transport Union (IRU) and Transport &Environment.

Koert van Mensvoort will conclude the event by sharing his thoughts on the co-evolutionary relationship with technology and outlining a path towards a future of travel and transport that is rewarding for both humankind and the planet at large.
