Welcomed to the red carpet, our first year Tourism Management students enjoyed popcorn while watching their own created movies about the untold stories of Antwerp, Bruges, Ostend, and Ghent.
Throughout these last weeks, students learned to view destinations from a professional perspective rather than as tourists during the block 2 theme Destination Development.
This approach helped them understand local developments, challenges, issues, and opportunities that touristic destinations face. After fieldwork in these Belgian cities, talking to various stakeholders with different perspectives, the final assignment was to present the results in a short film or documentary.
Congratulations to the outstanding group who earned the Destination Development Film Festival Challenge Cup and now hold eternal fame!
