Time to dive in! Tourism Interventions, making or breaking places 
 
On 7 November the research group "Tourism Impacts on Society'' is organizing an online book launch on the occasion of the presentation of 'Tourism Interventions, making or breaking places'. The book provides the industry, students, researchers, and academics with new insight and understanding of how best to sustainably develop, promote, and manage tourism, and how to help destinations become more resilient in the face of future crises. 
 
Online Book Launch 

After an introduction by Rami K. Isaac and Jeroen Klijs from Breda University of Applied Sciences, the various authors provide a brief explanation of the chapter they have written. Contributions from Tina Segota, Alberto Amore, Roos Gerritsma, Björn Ella, Simone Moretti, Sofía López Rodríguez, Tolo Deya, Marc Boumeester, Ristiawan, Rucitarahma, Can Seng Ooi, Steven Valcke, Licia Calvi, and Kristel Zegers. The meeting ends with a discussion between authors and attendees.

This book brings together in one volume, the various types of interventions that can steer tourism towards positive impacts (and/or prevent negative impacts) on the destinations where tourism is taking place. It examines tourism interventions and their role in making or breaking places, as initiated and implemented by a variety of stakeholders. Read more
